Private equity invests in foodtech

Beyond the large groups in the sector, in recent years Spain has become one of the leading countries in foodtech, adding more than 400 startups, it is only behind the United Kingdom, Israel or the United States. It is especially striking that 60% of these companies do not exceed three years of life and 13% have been created during the pandemic, according to data from the Foodtech in Spain, FWS Report of the ICEX.
