GreenE, among the 20 Spanish startups on the radar for funds and large companies
GreeneIn Spain, most of the country's large energy companies or infrastructure managers have their investment vehicles with which they support startups or survey the market in search of technologies that can complement their business. Executives from initiatives such as Repsol Corporate Venturing, Enagás Emprende, Iberdrola and its Perseo startup program, Naturgy's Innovahub innovation space, the Enel Innovation Hub or Elewit, from Red Eléctrica, have shared with Business Insider Spain their recommendations for energy startups to keep an eye on right now. Also the European fund EIT InnoEnergy, belonging to the European Institute of Technology (EIT) and the Spanish BeAble Capital, specialized in investments in science and technology have also contributed with their point of view .
Its proposals include two dozen startups with very varied business models, from those that propose new sources of renewable energy or more efficient ways of generating energy of this type, to systems to improve energy efficiency in industries or homes, and new technologies. more environmentally friendly motors or tools to improve the management of electrical infrastructures.
GreenE, a company participated by Moira, and dedicated to the development of an innovative technology capable of generating, through the elimination of waste, a synthesis gas (syngas) that can be transformed into green energy, as well as other products such as methanol or biofuels, is one of the 20 energy startups that are on the radar of funds and large companies in Spain. According to Emilio Martínez, manager of open innovation and corporate venturing at Enagás Emprende, “Its technology allows the energy recovery of almost any type of waste, with a very innovative solution aimed at a very large and recent market, that of the circular economy.”
